We are currently seeking a dedicated Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team at a respected medical facility in Macomb, IL. This position offers an opportunity to provide comprehensive emergency medical care across 12-hour shifts, available from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM and 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM, including weekends. The emergency department manages an annual volume of 14,664 patients, translating to an average of 40 patients per day, with a low admission rate of 7%.
In this role, the Emergency Medicine Physician will oversee patient stabilization, evaluation, and treatment within a 10-bed ED setting. The facility ensures optimal patient care with 12 hours of daily Advanced Practice Provider (APP) coverage, supporting seamless workflow and patient management. Utilization of the Center electronic medical records (EMR) system enhances efficiency in documentation and continuity of care, ensuring thorough and accurate patient records.
Requirements:
·Current Illinois state medical license.
·Board Certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine.
·Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
·DEA registration for controlled substance prescribing.
