Hours: 20 hours/week, flexible within M–F 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; optional evening & weekend events

4:13 Strong is a faith-based nonprofit organization in Nashville, Tennessee, that empowers young men to transform their lives and achieve long-term personal and professional success. Our residential workforce development program provides holistic support, fostering social, emotional, and spiritual growth, typically completed over six to eight months.
The Development Intern will work closely with the Development Director and staff to support fundraising, marketing, data management, and event planning efforts. This internship offers hands-on experience in nonprofit development and is ideal for students interested in communications, fundraising, or nonprofit management.
This is a part-time, unpaid internship running from August 25 to October 24, 2025. Interns are expected to work approximately 20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling during business hours (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM). Occasional evening or weekend participation is optional.
• Fundraising activities, including grant research and donor communications
• Planning and support for the Annual Golf Tournament
• Donor engagement and stewardship initiatives
• Preparation for the 4:13 Strong Career Fair, including communication with employers, setup, and logistics
• Participation in Signing Day activities and preparation
• Data entry and recordkeeping in donor and program software systems
• Content capture and assistance with social media (photo/video)
• Marketing materials and graphic design support
• Other duties and special projects as assigned
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Interest in nonprofit work, fundraising, or marketing
• Familiarity with social media and design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe, or similar) is a plus
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a small team
• Eligible to receive academic credit if needed (not required)
While this is an unpaid internship, 4:13 Strong provides meaningful professional development and hands-on experience in the nonprofit sector. Interns will gain:
